“The basic somatic task during our lifetime is to gain greater and
greater awareness of ourselves, learning to flow with the stress
and trauma of life, like a cork floating on top of the waves.”
—Thomas Hanna
The nature of tension is that it never exists in isolation.
Intuitively, we know this. We can feel the connection between the tightness in our body and the shortness of our breath, between the unnecessary tension in our muscles and its impact on our mental state.
Everything is connected: mind, body, heart, spirit.
Therapeutic bodywork enables us to pay attention to our tension—and then to let it go.
START WHERE YOU ARE.
It’s not unusual to be uncomfortable with where we are. Life has a way of offering us opportunities for growth through lessons we’d rather not have to learn.
We can’t run from ourselves.
All we can do is be with what is, and make steps in the direction we want to go.
I’ve dedicated the past two decades of my life to the path of healing and wellness. I’ve treated my clients through pain, injury, pregnancy, athletic competitions, physical and emotional trauma, post-surgery rehab, and more. Freedom from suffering is possible, and I’m here to guide you.
